Turnips Is Here

Tomorrow my album Turnips officially debuts on the new episode of Podcast of the Tough.

New Plan

Okay so here's the new plan. My alter ego Baxter Pancake was planning something for Podcast of the Tough that fell through. Since filming is on hold for me there was only one thing to do that made sense. Combine the two! So next Wednesday will be the debut of Turnips on that day's episode of Podcast of the Tough! Don't miss it!

I was hoping the Turnips Video Proj was going to be a relatively quick process but I have been way busier with the rest of life than I anticipated. I'm going to hold off the Video Proj for a moment - or maybe retool it to make it less of a time crunch.

Either way Turnips the album is done and I will be releasing it in some form or another soon.

Hello!

I have finished working on the album Turnips. All 60 tracks are no complete! Woo!

So what happens now? (That might be a question you're asking.)

I'll tell you! Work commences tonight on The Turnips Video Proj. All 60 tracks will have an accompanying video that link together to form sort-of a story. Or something.

Look for the first video sometime at the end of this week or beginning of the next. Each video will be featured on the blog along with a link to download an mp3 of the featured track! For FREE!

Updatez

My upcoming album "Turnips" is almost done. It's 60 tracks (yeah... 60) and I've got 57 of them completed. Soon the first track and music video will debut on the blog. Stay tuned for that!

Tomorrow the next episode of The Super Pancake Bros. Super Show will be available on www.funnyordie.com/pancakebros! I composed the theme song and snippets of a few Turnips tracks can be heard in it. Some of the episodes (such as episode 1) will feature original compositions - plus they're funny - so check 'em out every other Wednesday!

If you're wondering... the reason it's called a "Sound Piece" and not a "Sound Collage" is that the dialog heard on the track is in the same order as it appeared in the film Carnival of Souls. So I couldn't really consider it a collage.

Serious Emotional Shock

Later today check out www.podcastofthetough.com for the second episode which features a sound piece I created called "Serious Emotional Shock" near the end. Also Podcast of the Tough features a theme song I composed as well as "Phase Mandarin" (a song from the upcoming Turnips album) as it's end theme.

"Serious Emotional Shock" will be available on the blog as a free download when I find the means to put it up here. I was going to put it up through my bandcamp page but you can only upload files onto bandcamp that are in formats that garageband does not create. I shake my fist at technology and continue on with my life...

S'been Awhile

It's been a long while since I registered the blog. Could something finally be stirring up? I'm now associated with the Podcast of the Tough among other things. The album called Turnips is nearly at its finish. There will quite possibly be a video for each song...
